A Beginner's Guide to Class C Motorhomes
Class C motorhomes offer a great balance between size and price. They are not the smallest or largest motorhomes. They are not the most expensive or most budget-friendly campers. They are the middle-of-the-road option, which can be a great match for many families.

The Design of Class C Motorhomes
At first glance, a Class C motorhome resembles a truck. After all, these RVs are built on a truck-style chassis. They often have an overhanging section above the can. This section can either be extra storage space or extra living space for a passenger to sleep in.
The Size of Class C Motorhomes
Class C motorhomes are smaller than the Class A motorhomes and bigger than the Class B motorhomes. These campers tend to be between 25 and 30 feet long.
For many families, that will be enough space. If you want more room, there are also RVs known as Super C motorhomes. These offer even more interior space.
The Price Point of Class C Motorhomes
The exact price of a Class C motorhome will depend on many factors, such as the RV's size, included amenities, and age. In general, Class C motorhomes are a more affordable option for larger camping parties. They offer a decent amount of space for big groups, but will be thousands of dollars cheaper than the larger Class A motorhome options.
The Handling of Class C Motorhomes
Any motorhome will take some time to get used to, but Class C motorhomes can be less stressful and less difficult to learn to handle. After all, they handle in a similar way to a standard commuter vehicle. They have a similar center of gravity, the placement of the pedals is about the same, and the brakes function in a similar way. It's still wise to dedicate plenty of time to learn to drive a motorhome, but you likely won't need to spend as much time practicing before you can safely start traveling.
Camping With a Class C Motorhome
Since Class C motorhomes are not the largest motorhome option, it will be easier to find a campsite. You won't need to worry as much about your RV being too large for given spots, which can make booking a trip much easier.
